Importing
Firearms |
A Non-Resident
Firearm Declaration Form (CAFC 909) is all you require to bring
a firearm into Canada. A bow is not a firearm and requires no
forms for entry. Fill out the form in triplicate before arriving,
do NOT sign the form until you arrive at customs, where an officer
will have to witness the signature and collect a $25cnd registration
fee. For more info and how to pre-process please visit the Canadian
Firearm Center

Entry into
Canada |
If you've ever had criminal
charges, even without convictions, such as a D.U.I., you might
have difficulty entering Canada. www.bordercrossing.ca can help.
Call Lucy Perillo at 1-800-438-7020 well in advance so clearance
can be arranged. Passports are required to enter Canada.

Exporting
Game & Trophies |
When game and/or
trophies travel with you as personal baggage your hunting license
acts as an export permit. You will also need to fill out a US
Import permit 177 at customs on departure. Wolves require a
CITES export permit and must be registered in Alberta before
being shipped thru a taxidermist. If you prefer to leave your
trophy for taxidermy with us we will be happy to make all necessary arrangements for you. |
Gear List |
You will need to
bring- weapon, ammunition, travel case, clothing, cotton hat,
gloves, rain gear, boots, day pack, range finder, flashlight,
knife, camera, cell phone, towel and personal items. Sleeping
bags are provided in tent camps but please bring a fleece liner
and pack light. Hunter Orange is not required in Alberta. The
best weapon to bring is the one you are most familiar with and
comfortable shooting. |
